Air pods hearing aids/tests

So after waiting anxiously for the hearing aid assistance and tests, I found out that health Canada has not approved the features, only hearing protection is available.

My question is ; I will be leaving to winter in the US soon for 3-4 months, will the functions work when I am there? Is it based on geographical location, ( phone physically in the US), or is it based on where the phone is registered.

Does anyone have any insight on release date in Canada, I suspect it will take a long while for gov. approval.

So disappointed like many, I purchased the pods last week for the anticipated new features. Will say that even the current features are beneficial, but looking forward to the improvements.
