Each time the screen is restored, a password is required

Each time the screen is restored, a password is required. How can I disable this? After upgrading to the latest system, my iMac requires a password to unlock the screen each time it goes to sleep. I noticed this option cannot be changed in the settings. I would like it to automatically enter the system without requiring a password after unlocking the screen. Thank you.

Is your iMac part of a device management system run by a school or business? If so, then most likely they have the ability to change that option disabled. You'd need to talk to your IT department about that issue.

If this is a personal Mac and not part of any sort of management, do you have iPhone mirroring set up? If so, open up the iPhone mirroring app, to go the settings, and change it to "Ask Every Time" rather than Automatic. Then see if you can change the screen saver password setting.

Hope this helps. Regards.
