On a MacBook Pro, I am trying to update from 15.0.1 to 15.1 but it is failing both in normal and safe mode.
The update seems to download OK and then comes up with the 30 minutes remaining message and then getting the error message as per the attached image.
Would welcome any suggestions

Also, do you have any AV-ware or a VPN installed on the MacBook Pro...?
If so, disable and uninstall it as per the developers instructions.

Managed to install the update 15.1 after uninstalling Avast anti virus.
Have managed to get it installed after doing Recovery install.
I finally managed to update my 2019 MBP 16inch, using the update to 15.1.1 (just released) – but only using safe mode, and it took at least 45 minutes to complete the upgrade. On my newer MacStudio it took 2 minutes! As some contributors previous suggestion I also 'turned off Bluetooth' and 'emptied my Bin' – whether that had anything to do with the success is unknown. Try safe mode again and let the update run...
It's bizarre, but I turned off Bluetooth and it finally did the trick for me.
I can conferm that 15.1 has A LOT of problems... so, at this point, go with apple support, as soon you got a brand new Mac, you have free access to direct support and they will for sure give a resolving point.
Following my troubles with this and help from Apple Support, I did manage to get the update in stalled. It is interesting to note that a couple of days ago I had three calls from Apple US technical support asking if I could go through what happened and also upload some system logs. It seems that Apple engineering believe there might be an issue and I assume are working to resolve the problem.

I have been experiencing the same issue with my MacBook Pro not installing the 15.1.1 update. It’s been sending back an error code when it’s spent about 20 minutes installing and is near completion.
Thanks for the response. I have tried most of the suggestions - I am hoping that I can install the update without the more extreme suggestions in the document :).
