Mac mini, macOS 15.1
Yesterday, I set up the new Mac mini M4 for my dad, who is disabled and uses his voice to operate the Mac. He relies on an external microphone, but the “Hey Siri” option is missing on his Mac. Is there already a fix for this?
Have you tried turning Siri off and on, and/ or rebooting your machine?
yes , I did that. But still it's missing.
What Mac are you using? My only guess is that no microphone is on or attached to the machine.
Mac mini M1
So you have a cam, mic installed or use AirPods?
using headphones ( it has a mic )
I'm at a loss, try contacting Apple Support
Sure, thank you for reply
So I assume you have a mic attached. Have you tried rebooting? Have you tried setting up another account to see if it shows up in that account? Tried safe mode?
The Mac Mini was brand new out of the box. I’ve tried everything, but unfortunately, nothing helps.
