Creating reminders from emails requires dragging twice

Whenever I create a reminder in Apple Reminders by dragging an email from Apple Mail on my iPhone 16 pro, or my iPad Pro, it has to be done twice. The first time I drag, it creates a blank entry with a checkbox, which disappears after a few seconds. I repeat the action and the reminder is created as expected. This behavior does not occur when dragging on my MacBooks. I use the link back to the email that is created in the reminder for my workflow, so this issue is a really inconvenience, and of course dragging from one app to another on an iPhone is not the easiest, so doing it twice is even more irritating. Copying text from the email and sharing with the reminders app works, but frequently creates a reminder that links back to a different random email, so I do not use this method.
