I would like to transfer money from my bank account to Apple Pay/Cash directly without using my debit card. How do I do that and how quickly are the funds available?

You will need a Debit Card or Prepaid Card to add funds to Apple Cash. Bank transfers are done using a routing number and there is no routing number for the Apple Cash card.
Mac Jim ID is correct. Apple Cash is not associated with a bank account and does not have an account number or routing number, which is required for ACH transfers. Apple Cash is a prepaid debit card and you’re on reloading the card. Reloading requires the use of a debit card.
