Apple pencil troubleshooting

Hi, I just started taking some notes on my ipad and I notice the apple pencil is making a dotted line rather than a straight line so when I write the lines are messy and not even. When I used my ipad earlier today everything worked fine.

i tried changing the tip of the pencil but it didn’t help
