Remove black bars from iMovie clip the easy way

I spent hours today trying to figure out how to delete the 16:9 black bars on my landscape-view video created in iMovie. I did do it once before but had to go through numerous Adobe products trying to remember how I made it work. My last option was Apple's "Photos" App. I simply imported my iMovie .MOV format into my Photos videos folder on my iMac. In the Videos folder, I double clicked on my needed video and it launched. In the menu at the top in the right corner I clicked "Edit." In the Edit window I selected "Crop" from the upper menu. The cropping brackets appeared and I cropped the video manually. I saved it. Viewed it. Perfect. Skip all of the endless, super technical work-arounds and subscriptions for what should be an easy task. Roll with Apple's "Photos" App to get rid of the pesky black bars.

My system for this effort is Sequoia 15.0.1

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15
