How can I recover my lost Apple Watch move streak?

I forgot my Apple Watch charger before going on a trip and lost my move streak. I immediately bought new charger but unfortunately I forgot to lower the move goal for that day and I did not manage to complete that challenge.

I've tried to add an activity through the health app several times and currently I even have a super long "exercise" data for that day (I dont know how to delete them) but non of that helped to restore the streak. On top of that the app is showing that my streak ended few days before this happened when I actually completed more than 200% of my move goal.

Any help to restore my almost 1000 days streak will be highly appreciated.

There have been several reports from users that achieved such a long move streak, that the count somehow stopped at some point.

You can try to contact the official Apple Support about that, they can look into your personal data from their side and maybe help you to restore the streak.

At least in watchOS 11 we now have the option to pause our rings:

If you want more improvements, tell Apple directly about it by using the Feedback link.

This is the only way to reach them.

You can add a workout within 24hours, which will then also help top close your rings.

And you will have to choose a workout that includes calories in the Activities/Workouts section

Did you already force restart both devices? This will resync your fitness data again.

This answer probably explains why I encounter the problem. I am not sure if I add the activity (it includes calories for sure) in the first 24h. So if the limitation is like that we are coming back to the poor design of the measurements itself. If something happen to your watch basically your phone is not taking over although it is fully capable to record your movements

But never mind I am struggling with this for more than 2 months and apparently now I understood why I can't fix it.

Something that I still don't understand is why the longest streak finished few days before I actually miss the goal.
