Printing/exporting keyword list in Photos

I have a huge keyword list with many similar keywords that need to be consolidated. How do you export/print this list? Copy and paste does not work - only the first keyword is pasted. Running Apple Photos on a MacBook Pro Sonoma 14.5.

Another idea. We can copy the keywords from the Info of a photo that has the keyword assigned. To get a list of all keywords we could duplicate a photo to create a dummy, where we can assign all keywords by clicking all buttons in the keyword manager, one after the other. Then we can open the Info for the dummy photo and copy and paste all keywords from the Info to a text document. A lot of work, however.

So clever! And when you do command-all in the keyword manager, it automatically adds all keywords to the selected picture, so that's really easy. This worked very easily with a Library of 1000 pictures, but took a long time with somewhat flaky results with 15000 pictures. ⌘-A didn't seem to get all the keywords, but I may have just been impatient. Trying harder just crashed Photos.

Another option, faster and apparently more successful, was to select all pictures in the Library, open Info, and all the keywords will be there to be copied. I imagine that keywords that aren't used on any picture won't be there, though. In Word, I replaced commas with paragraphs, and I had nearly 1000 keywords. I'm not sure how to use this information…

I've tried that-- and I have been every bit as successful as you. I had hopes for the apps PowerPhotos and Photos Workbench, since they both show keywords, but you can't copy from them, either.

My guess is that the list of keywords doesn't actually exist. Rather, I think it may be generated on the fly from the database, and it only takes form on the screen. You can copy screen images and use Preview to copy the text from the images to TextEdit, but that means a screen at a time, and it can't be worth it.

I've been going through and changing all the "John Smiths" to "JohnSmith", and other fixes, but it's tedious--I've used so many keywords in the past, then changed my mind on just what I want, that it seems a hopeless mess.

Let us know if you think of anything!

That's what I meant about opening in Preview and copying to text. But if you do the column view, as your screenshot shows, you get things like "PowerPh…" rather than, I assume, PowerPhotos. To get the full names, you need to use the Keyword Edit screen, and then you need dozens of screens. (I have way more keywords than you, apparently!)
