Can I somehow replace Calculator 11.0 with Calculator 10.x ??

Calculator has been a fairly useful application, but both its utility and ease of use have been reduced in version 11 which is bundled with Sequoia. What is missing? First of all the paper tape option has disappeared. Even with the apparent hatred of Tim Cook's so-called "pro users" of the touch bar, I don't understand the disappearance of the calculation history afforded by the tape. No! Despite being a cute upgrade to Notes, Math Notes is NOT an adequate replacement for a recording calculator.

Further, I object to the vastly premature abandonment of support for the touchbar by macOS as evidenced by the bundled Calculator. I really like the touchbar and very much want the calculator application to continue working with the touchbar. I purchased extended support for my 13 in macBook Pro (m2) because I want to keep the thing going as long as possible. I have been purchasing macintosh laptops every five years or so, but I plan on using this one until Apple stops the march toward laptops the size of ottomans or dining room tables and abandonment of useful features such as mag-safe power connectors and touchbars. (Tim Cook, some people who fly couch instead of riding around in G600 Gulfstreams would like to be able to use their laptops mid-flight!) I have no problems with collapsing data connectors to Thunderbolt 4/USB 4, but I do wish that Apple would stop with losing actual features. Incidentally, I have a last generation Apple TimeCapsule, and except for lacking IEEE 802.11ax and 6G, it remains superior to pretty much all other WiFi hubs out there and includes a NAS to boot. I understand Apple abandoning manufacturing laser printers, but there really has not been a particularly good replacement for the TimeCapsule or AirPort. Fortunately, apple released a universal version of AirPort Utility. Apple also finally brought back a version of the HomePod. I bought a second pair of the original HomePod (unfortunately after the black version sold out) when Tim Cook axed the HomePod.

Hardware: macPro 13 in (m2) – I bought it as "refurbished" a year or so after buying an m1 version when I learned that Apple was killing the touch bar. Bad Apple! No biscuit! The "pros" of which Tim Cook speaks are in my estimation posers. Several years before that I bought the last of the macBook Pros with the magSafe connector. Thankfully Apple has recognized removing the magsafe power connector as a blunder.

Software: macOS 15.1 Sequoia

OK - I can try restoring a previous version of Calculator from a backup if it's still there. But, macOS tries to prevent people from moving applications like Calculator and Chess to folders other than Applications.

"abandon MagSafe"? Are you unaware that all current mac laptops DO have MagSafe power adapters?

On the subject at hand: there are several threads with basically the same complaint. I believe someone has tried already to put the Calculator from Sonoma in Sequoia and found that it didn't work.

A common suggestion in these threads is to use PCalc. Apparently it is very much appreciated and more powerful than either the old or new version of Calculator. I have not tried it but it has existed for a very long time.
