How to check Apple AirPods Pro 2 warranty status?

Hello,

I bought a new apple airpod pro 2 lightning at the beginning of this year, upon purchasing it, I made sure to check the serial number in the apple site which was fine. The warranty was going to last till 17 may 2025. Now I checked today and it’s telling me my coverage has expired. I decided to check it’s serial number again on the apple site and now it’s telling me the serial number is for a product that has been replaced. Can anyone help me because everything was fine till today and all the functions of airpod is available and works fine on it.

From whom did you purchase those AirPods? If you bought them directly from Apple, contact Apple Support. Otherwise, contact your retailer.

Usually that means someone replaced their AirPods under warranty and the set you have was supposed to be returned to Apple as defective.

Another scenario is you have fake AirPods that have a serial number belonging to a real pair and the owner of the real pair got a replacement under warranty service.

That's the problem with buying an Apple device when you are not in the country where you will be using them. You would have to return to the country of purchase for any warranty work. This link offers international phone numbers for Apple Support. Maybe one will be helpful.

I bought them from an apple store when I traveled away from home. Unfortunately the country I’m currently located at is not found on apple support website. Is there a way to have a live chat with apple without the using the message app?

Thank you for your help Carol. I’ll try one of the phone numbers when I get the time. There are no faults on them so I’m not in a hurry. Also, thanks again. Next time I buy an apple, it will be from an apple store in my country.

Thanks Jonathan. I’m sure my AirPods aren’t fake. So maybe it just means I was supposedly sold AirPods that was supposed to be replaced but then again it’s not faulty. I’ll just have to find the solution or explanation apple support will give me.

There is no region restriction for AirPods service or warranty coverage, as long as Apple has service coverage in the country you are in.
