I have an iPhone 16 pro. I’m frustrated! I click on a photo and enter the style and adjust options and edit a photo to my liking. I use the adjust sliders not the new styles panel. When I click done and it exits the edit settings the photo visibly darkens, the colours deepen and contrast reduces. If I click the photo to go back into edits it goes back to the way I want it.
I cannot think of a way to stop it doing this.

Can’t believe other people aren’t being driven nuts by this. I’ve included a couple of screenshots to illustrate the issue. The colour grade is garbage but it’s just to make a point.
1st photo is a screenshot while I’m in the adjust tab. I’ve increased exposure and saturation.
The 2nd screenshot is as soon as I’ve clicked done, exited adjust mode and I’m back in the photo library. The difference is crazy! It makes the native colour adjust functions absolutely useless.
I really don’t have the time to be importing and exporting from a secondary app.
What is the deal with this and how do I get back the apple photo colour function of my previous iPhones?
