Cannot get my Telstra Bigpond email to work on iPhone 15 Pro running IOS 18

Have tried reconfiguring the mail client numerous times with Telstra tech support without success. They say is an Apple problem. The mail account and password is running ok through the browser but not the mail app. Anyone else had this problem, if so how did you fix it?

Telstra were hopeless, mindlessly going through the same script over and over getting the same outcome. They said since webmail was working it’s a Microsoft and/or Apple problem. I got onto MS tech support who fixed it in less than 5 mins. It seems that Telstra insist on using an app generated password when running their mail on a third party platform. You’d think they’d let their tech’s know that!
