Sequoia update stuck at 50%

On my Intel MacBook Pro, the latest Sequoia update got stuck at 50%. Not quite sure why. I have plenty of disk space and never had a problem.

I tried to reboot and redo it.

I tried to reinstall in recovery mode.

Same issue: the update is getting stuck at 50%.

I can see my data on another Mac with target / disk mode.

Any other idea?
