Excessive battery drain with iPadOS on iPad Pro

Excessive battery drain with iPadOS on iPad Pro. Not sure when it started (has seemed to be for a while (I’m currently using M4 iPad Pro), but definitely ongoing with iPadOS 18 and iPadOS 18.1. Loses at least 10-15% every 12 hours (and sometimes more, which may depend whether WiFi or cellular data). Only active process in Battery section of iPadOS is Find My, so it seems to be a bug associated with Find My. Anyone found a solution? Do I just have to turn Find My off?

This occurs while iPad Pro is asleep and closed (with Magic Keyboard). And as stated, it already has latest iPadOS update (18.1). Per Battery in Settings, the only app using battery at these times is “Find My.” I have reported it to Apple. There are other posts here and elsewhere with same complaint. It used to last weeks while asleep, but now it is lucky to last days.

There could me many reasons first of all it could be you haven’t done the required software update, or it could be that the brightness is on full, which as I have also experienced tend to take a lot of battery. If none of suggestions are true then it could be because of the apps. You might have downloaded some unnecessary apps which also tend to take a lot of battery.. Hope this helped
