Can't restore Photos library from Time Machine

My external seagate drive failed, taking two separate photos libraries with it. I restored the smaller one (about 156GB) with no issues; but the second one (325 GB) fails every time, giving me "Error -36". Any ideas? The larger library is the one I use all the time.

I just had the same problem on macOS Sequoia and could not restore an older library from the Time Machine back. Time Machine failed every time I tried.

Finally I copied the library directly from the Time Machine volume to a folder on my Mac. It has not been possible to copy the library in one piece. I had to open the package contents of the library on the Time Machine volume and copy all subfolders in the package separately, as described in this user tip: How to avoid the Error -36 when copying a Photos Library - Apple Community
