I'm trying to write Archer on the first photo but can't find the mark up tools anywhere in photos!
Help!I erased his name after flipping the next one horizontally because, of course, his name was backwards.
Help! Help! Help!
I've always hated Mark up in Word so this is my first time using it - expecially in Photos!!!

I played around, a bit.
I selected your picture and chose "Save Image to Photos." Then I opened Photos, chose the picture, hit Return to get Edit mode, and chose Crop. I flipped the picture there. Then Done.
In Edit Mode again, I looked at the icons at the top right
and chose the "More" icon, from which I chose Markup.
At first look, the tools don't look so intuitive to me, and I don't do this, much. But here's an article on using Markup.

If you don't want to keep the pictures in Photos, you can do much the same thing in the Preview app:
