I recently bought a iphone16pro but there is no instruction manual or quick start guide inside the box

Apple hasn't included a quick start guide or for that matter any guide in new iPhone boxes for several years now.

From which country did you purchase your iPhone? If the US, there is no SIM tray in any iPhone sold in the US. In other countries there is a SIM tray. You don't need a sim tray tool. All you need is a paperclip to open the tray if your phone has one.

The two pill shaped pieces of paper you've seen are NOT user guides at all. They offer regulatory information and were worthless and thrown out after unboxing my phone. As already stated, Apple has NOT included a quick start or user manual in iPhone boxes for years.

Here are 2 reasons why a manual may not be included in the box:

• Information provided in a manual will quickly become out of date as new iOS features become available. You may have information in a manual that will no longer be relevant when you take the phone out of the box and there is an update available.
• Apple has made a push to become carbon neutral and has made an effort to achieve that goal by reducing packaging materials on all devices.

Not sure about your particular phone purchased in Australia. There is a pill shape piece of paper that has regulatory filings and safety information, but it is not a Quick Start guide or Instruction manual.
