Videos go faster when connected to hdmi on my macbook air

When I connect my HDMI adapter to my MacBook Air, the videos play at a faster rate but when I disconnect the HDMI adapter, the videos play at normal speed.

Video doesn't play when HDMI is connected to my MacBook Pro Hey guys. so im plugging my macbook pro to and LG tv through HDMI, i get a screen mirroring, but any video i try to play doesnt work. stremio, youtube, thing on vlc. i understand maybe its a HDCP problem- but what the can i do to fix that? i dont want to use airplay cause the videos dont run smoothly on it. any thoguhts? thanks [Re-Titled by Moderator]
