Why are my Airpods pro 2 Transparency cutting off randomly?

I purchased the Airpods pro 2, September 4, 2024 after I found out they could be useful as hearing aids. I found some information about setting them up to be used as a substitute for hearing aids. I used that info to set them up and I thought they worked pretty well plus they improved the music I listen to, but I would set them up with the Transparency mode turned on. Every time I would put them back in the case to charge and took them out to use them, I would have to set up the Transparency mode again. I did not find any place to save the settings. I installed the IOs 18.1 update on my Iphone when it came out and that seemed to clear up the problem, then last Friday I received a notification that my Airpods recieved an update. Now it drops the Tranparency mode randomly. There has been a few times that I would set the Transparency mode and within a second it would turn off. I would turn it back on and it would work fine but you would never know just how long it would stay on, sometimes 5 minutes sometime more, sometimes less.

Help.

Any ideas why my Airpods pro 2 are cutting OFF Transparency mode randomly. there has been a few times that when I am in the Control Panel and click on the EAR tab then click on the Transparency mode then the Transparency mode turns ON but as I exit the Control panel the Transparency mode turns off sometimes right away and sometimes within 5-10 minutes. I have tried "remove this device" in settings and then reinstalling the Airpods, but that hasn't helped. It was really strange that they were working fine after the 18.1 ios update but starting last Saturday they began to lose the Transparency mode randomly. I think I need to go to the Apple store.

You don't say how you are turning modes on or off. If you are pressing the stems to make the changes, then this may help. Place the AirPods in your ears then on your iPhone, select Settings > your AirPods. From there, you can set the default setting for one or both pods. If one pod is in your ear, you are setting the default for one pod. If you have both in your ear, you are setting the default for when both are in place. Be sure to tap Back after picking the setting you want for your default. That will save your selection.

After I charge my Airpods, the first thing I do is put them in my ears then I open the Airpods in the settings ap and the first screen shows the amount of charge, the Name of the Airpods, under noise control the Transparency mode is highlighted. I then scroll down to the Accessibility and tap on that. On the next screen, I tap on Airpod Audio & Visual, then I go to Headphone Accomodations and click on Headphone Accommodations. If I scroll down to the bottom of the page it shows Transparency Mode Off > and I click on that which takes me to Custom Transparency Mode which I turn ON. Now its working but in a few minutes or sometimes seconds the Transparency turns off by itself. Sometime I tried "hey Siri turn on Transparency Mode" and Siri will say that its already ON, but I know that its not because everything sounds muffled not clear. What else can I tell you.
