iphone 12 mini usb music and podcasts not playing properly

I updated my iPhone 12 mini to 18.1. Everything seems to work as normal, but now whenever I plug into my truck’s USB port, podcasts and music don’t work the same.

what I mean is that it will play normally for about 30 seconds through the speakers, then it will pause on the screen, and I will see the time skipping forward (ie. it looks like if playback was increased to 3x or more).

I have swapped power cables, USB cables, ports, but nothing has fixed it. I have restarted my phone and removed the USB fuse in my car and then swapped it with a new one. None of these fixes worked.

My other car has CarPlay, and that works perfectly. It is only whenever I have it connected by USB to lightning.

I don’t know if this is because of the update.
