My bluetooth Logitech R500 only works in safe mode on MacBook Pro

Hi, reading this issue here: Logitec bluetooth pointer R500 not pairin… - Apple Community

I have the same problem. The solution: to start up the computer in safe mode helps: now my logitech r500s pointer works. But as soon as i start up normal again, it does not work anymore. I see it in my bluetooth conected, but that is it.

You can check to see if you've removed all of the supporting files by downloading and running the shareware app Find Any File to search for any files with the application's or the developer's name in the file name.  For the surfshark software you'd do the following search(es):

1 - Name contains surfshark

2 - Name contains fireguard

Any files that are found can be dragged from the search results window to the Desktop or Trash bin in the Dock for deletion.

FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.

If you get warnings that the file can't be deleted because it is in use or used by another app boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and delete from there.

Note:  if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode.  This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will assure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Apple can fix Apple Accessories.

Which the Third Party Mouse Logitech R500 is Not.

Apple can’t fix the Users’ choice of Third Party Accessories use on this computer.

That clearly falls  Out-Side of the Domain of Apple

It belongs solely with the Third Party Maker of this device to make their device function on Apple Computers running Apple macOS

Not the other way around

How to contact an app developer

If there is any comfort

Using 2 different Apple Mice and 2 different Apple Computers

They both work as expected

Surfshark do need that sometimes however

You don't. All AV software is quite literally useless on a Mac. There no Mac viruses. None. And no AV software will stop you from installing or running a Trojan.

Shockwave, Flip4Mac, RealPlayer and Silverlight have been dead and unsupported for years. You have to go far out of your way to even find a site that still uses any of them for its content.

Aside from the already presented, good advise, for Several Contributors

We come back to the Logitech R500 Third Party Mouse and the Third Party Software, required to make this mouse function on macOS

The Third Party Software maybe updated by the Third Party Standards

Though is does not appear to updated to function on macOS macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)

Which itself is no longer current

Sonoma 14.7.1 would be an updated version

I am trying to get rid of surfshark. the website from the company just says: just trow the .app in the bin and you are fine. However etrecheck gives me still a warning:

System Extensions:

[Running] Surfshark. WireGuard - version 4.15.3 (SURFSHARK LTD)

        Application: Not found!

Description: System Extension enables Surfshark app to connect using WireGuard protocol.

how/where do i get rid of the last surfsharkfiles? I have been looking (also in safe mode) but can't find any surfshark related file anywhere. Any help is appreciated
