iOS 18.1 still has some major Apple Music issues that were also in 18.0x

Music app is still very slow when you try to add a song

to a playlist. When it brings up the list of your playlists, it can take a long

time to show the icons next to each playlist, or to show if a song is already

in a playlist, like its struggling loading them. When you add a song, it can

take a long time to actually add it.

It also heavily drains the iPhone battery when its struggling

with playlists like this. I can lose 10% battery after playing and adding 4

songs to playlists.

Random in personal playlists is broken too. Sometimes

when I hit random its fine for a while, then it starts to play only specific

artists, or starts playing in order of artists. Or it might just play songs in the

order they were added even after you hit shuffle. I have to kill the Music app

and relaunch to get back to random, but that only lasts for a little while before

the issues return.

When playing music from iPhone to my Homepods, about

every 20 songs it will play but no sound unless I rewind or skip to the next

song. Otherwise it will just silently play the entire song and start working again

on the next song (this has been an issue with Homepod versions 18.0 and 18.1)

At least the Music app crashing issue from 18.0x seems to

be fixed, at least for me.

I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro
