Unable to upgrade to Ventura on 2017 MacBook Pro "Update not found"

I can't install mac os ventura on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) from mac os monterey, when i try to update it from app store, it says that the update was not found, does anyone have the same problems with me?

Try rebooting the laptop to see if that makes any difference. Then try booting into Safe Mode to see if that works since it will prevent third party software from launching automatically during boot & login.


You can try using the Terminal command line to list the full installers, then manually download the installer using the command line:


Check for valid OS installers:

softwareupdate --list-full-installers



Download the specific installer version (example is selecting Monterey v12.7.6):

softwareupdate  -d  --fetch-full-installer  --full-installer-version 12.7.6
