How to use Face ID on my iPad after iOS 18.1 update?
I am unable to find the routine that allows me to use Face ID instead of thumb or other ID. My iPad h been upgraded to 18.1 and has a camera.

All models of iPad in recent years support either TouchID or FaceID - but not both.
All iPad models that support TouchID have a physical Home Button at bottom centre of the screen - within which is the TouchID sensor - or for iPad Air4 (and later), mini6 and iPad10 incorporate the TouchID sensor within the Top (Sleep/Wake) button.
iPad models supporting FaceID have a FaceID sensor (consisting of an Infrared Dot Projector and TrueDepth Camera array) - this sensor being absent from iPad models that support TouchID.
Which iPad do you have? If it currently is capable of finger ID, then it does not have the hardware necessary to change to Face ID. It takes more than just a camera.
