Why won’t screen time turn off when I’m 18
My parents have controlled my screen time since I was 15. They won’t relent and I need it to be turned off. I’m a 20 year old now for reference. Any suggestions?

Buy your own phone and pay for it yourself. As long as you are on your parent’s account they are in control.

Then there is no reason you shouldn't be able to turn off Screen Time Settings. Have you contacted Apple directly for help? We aren't Apple Support here. This is a user to user only forum. If you're in the US, you can call Apple at: 800-MY-APPLE or visit an Apple Store in person.
But is it part of your parent’s account plan? You also need to be paying for your own cellular service plan in your own name as well, completely separate from your parent's account.
Do you have your own unique Apple ID, or are you using your parents Apple ID?
Then we have no idea what you are talking about. You’re twenty years old, own your own iPhone and have your own cellular plan. Why do you think your parents still have control over your screen time or anything about your account for that matter? End of story. What is really going with you?

Turn it off yourself then. We’re done here.
I can’t turn it off bc my parents have set up a password to disable it and I can’t without their permission. They aren’t going to turn it off bc they don’t want to. I’m looking for a way to disable it without having to do through them.
I did buy my own phone
I pay for my own cellular plan man.
