Voice Memos: "Couldn't transcribe audio"

Hello! I use voice memos heavily and have had recent problems with transcription, it isn't working.

I see this on my Mac Studio (M2 Pro, 32mb RAM) and my iPhone 14 Pro.

This is both for recordings that are longer (a few minutes) and shorter (a few seconds).

What am I doing wrong?

iOS 26 Voice Memos - Terrible Audio Quality Hello, I have been using Voice Memos for over a decade. In the latest iOS 26 update, the quality of recordings is drastically different, it's grainy and distorted. I am using an iphone 12 mini that is very clean with a functioning microphone. It does not matter what settings I use for VMs (lossy/lossless, stereo/mono) ever since the software update the audio quality is terrible. I am seeing many other people online reporting similar problems. Is there a fix or did Apple kill the app?

Recordings on Voice Memo stuck in "Saving changes..." Hi, Community Several of my new recordings have been stuck in "saving changes..." status. Have you encountered this kind of situation and how did you fix it?
