Unable to add xfinity/comcast email account to macOS Mail
I went to the two articles suggested on Xfinity discussions and saw:
- Sign in to Xfinity Email using your Xfinity ID and password.
- In the top-right corner, click the Gear icon, then select Settings.
- Click Security.
- Uncheck the box under Third Party Access Security to prevent third-party programs access to your Xfinity Email, or check the box to allow access.
I did this. Actually, the box says to check it IF YOU WANT THIRD PARTY ACCESS. The box is not checked so I checked it (because I want third party access). Here is a screenshot.
I am able to login to Xfinity mail via Safari so I know my user name and pw are correct.
I'm on macOS 14.6.1 (23G93)
Something is not right. could it be an issue with Xfinity mail not communicating with the latest macOS update?
