2FA Not Working for Ring on iOS 18.1 – Invalid or Expired Code in Password App

Hi all,

I’m having an issue with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on the Ring app (version 5.78.0) for iOS 18.1. After entering my email and password (using the iOS Password app for password management and 2FA), I’m prompted for the verification code. However, after entering the code, I get an "invalid or expired code" error.

Details:

  • iOS Version: 18.1
  • Ring App Version: 5.78.0
  • Problem: The verification code never works after entering the credentials, even though it’s correct.
  • Steps Taken: Restarted iPhone, reinstalled Ring app, and confirmed email/password work fine via the browser.

Has anyone else encountered this issue with Ring 2FA on iOS 18.1? Any suggestions or solutions?
