Can't upload a large file to iCloud Storage with plenty of space available.

I'm trying to upload a 10 GB video, but after several hours of uploading, I get an error message that it failed. I have more than 100 GB of space available on my iCloud Storage. I've tried compressing the file first and uploading the zip file. It still fails every time. I've tried 5 times and it fails every time. I have a second video the same size to upload as well, but this also fails. I have to share links to these files for my client ASAP. I can't keep wasting hours failing. I'm uploading from my MacBook Pro (Monterey) on the iCloud website. Please help.

While iCloud will handle any file smaller than 50 GB, there may be limitation in the upload process that you're using. Uploading through a browser may have limitations imposed by the browser, itself, or by the internet service.

You may be able to have iCloud Drive copy a file to iCloud, and that might work better. But in Monterey the file remains on your internal drive. In Sequoia, you can designate certain files to be kept at iCloud but removed from your local drive.
