Apple Music Library Corrupted on macOS 15.1 (Sequoia) — Advanced Repair Options Needed

Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with my Apple Music library that standard troubleshooting methods haven’t resolved. My Mac is running macOS 15.1 (Sequoia), and every time I open the Music app, it gets stuck on “checking Music Library” and then crashes. I’ve tried all the usual solutions: restarting the app, safe mode, deleting cache files, and more. Unfortunately, I don’t have a Time Machine backup to restore the library.

In my company, we have access to advanced AI tools, and I’ve used several to try and diagnose this, but I haven’t found a fix. I’ve also tried checking in the backup folders for older iTunes libraries and even went as far as setting up a separate Monterey environment to convert them, but so far, no luck.

Is there any way to repair a damaged Music library file or any tools specifically made for this? Any assistance or advanced troubleshooting methods would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Mac Pro, macOS 15.1

See Empty/corrupt iTunes/Music library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community. You may have a Previous Music Libraries folder with a .musiclibrary package you can restore instead of the current library. It may also help to option-start-Music and ensure it really is opening the correct .musiclibrary package rather than a cached version on some other path which it now fails to open each time. Monterey happens to be particularly bad at converting .itl libraries to the new Music format. If needs be I can do that conversion back in Catalina, with successive builds of macOS able to open those libraries. Contact info. in my profile here if you need it.
