How do I cancel my Apple TV free trial?

I signed up for a free trial of apple tv and cannot find any way to cancel it as the email I recieved says it will auto renew after the free trial period ends. It does not show up in my subscriptions on my account and the link in the subscription confirmation email to cancel it takes me to manage my subscription and there is no apple tv subscription there

In which case, it would seem, the subscription is not actually active at least on that account.

One other option, is to go to https://tv.apple.com and log in with your account, click on your user icon at the top, and then on Settings, then scroll down to Subscriptions. If there is no subscriptions section or the subscription does not appear there, then your account definitely has no active subscription tied to it.

As such, the active subscription may be on different account, or not active at all.

UPDATE - see below

I have a similar problem, I cannot cancel a subscription that is supposed to renew on Nov 11, for $19.99, for Apple 1.

I must have chosen Apple 1 by mistake because I have no intention of paying $19.99 a month for services I don't need or want.

How do I cancel or even change this?

I've gone to the settings for subscriptions but there is nothing there for me to modify/change/cancel.

Every page that comes up with a google search has not given me any help.

FINALLY FOUND A WAY TO DO THIS. On my Macbook, I went to Settings, chose my Apple ID picture, selected Media and Purchases, then Subscriptions. Found the subscription and there was an option to cancel it entirely or just change it.

Hope this helps others ...

The fact it appears on your Mac but not your iPhone in Settings, means you are using a different Apple ID even if you think you are not. That is the only way this can happen.

Check that the Apple ID on your iPhone in Settings ➜ Apple ID ➜ Media & Purchases ➜ View Account.

And compare that to the one on your Mac ➜ Settings ➜ Apple ID ➜ Media and Purchases ➜ Account ➜ Manage.

I can almost guarantee it's a different one.

It appears you have resolved the issue and found that the Apple ID that you are using for Media & Purchases is different from the main Apple ID on your phone. If the Apple ID at Settings > [name on top] > Media & Purchases is different on your Mac then on your iPhone then you will not see the same subscriptions on both devices.

It's been a hot minute, but the update eveeryone (no one) asked for:

I recieved an email on the 17th of November saying there was an issue billing my account, and then another email today (05/12/24) saying the same thing. I've attached a screenshot of what my subscription section of my account now looks like - it actually says Apple TV in there now (finally)

It's completely absurd to let me sign up for a free trial with a couple clicks, and then make it impossible to cancel it within the free trial period. The only way I avoided paying was by removing my payment info and leaving a card that is expired and no longer in use and therefore cannot be charged. Broken system and this has only confirmed that I will be leaving Apple products as soon as I possible because it's obvious I cannot trust them after this

Nothing has changed since making this post and the subscription does not show on my account at all (yes, it is 100% the correct account. turns out i have a second apple account, but it's not been touched in over 5 years and i didnt know it existed, so that is out of the question), and the attachged image is the confirmation email i recievd last week on the 6th. It's the 12th and I've tried everything, so I will update tomorrow if I am charged or not

It's honestly crazy that this is still unresolved, I can only hope that the subscription is somehow not active, despite the email confirming it. Didn't realise you could make cancelling a subscription so convoluted and confusing :')
