iPhone 15 gifted, is now marked Missing/Stolen. So my buddy gave me an iPhone 15 pro max and 4 months later reports the phone missing or stolen then. Bam I'm not able to get in to settings and then goto my profile what that be about [Re-Titled By Moderator]

Click here and follow the instructions. Restoring the iPhone requires plugging it into a computer with iTunes or Devices installed, or a Mac running Catalina or newer.

If there's an option to erase it, you can use that instead.
