Magic Mouse is missing the Apple logo

I bought the new Magic Mouse with USB-C from apple.com. On the Apple Website, the Magic Mouse has a logo at the bottom like the previous versions. However, the Magic Mouse I received has the logo missing (see photo).

Is this a defect and should I return the device?

I have watched a dozen of the most recent YT videos of unboxing the Apple Magic Mouse 3 (USB-C) and they ALL had the Apple logo on the bottom side of the mouse. The boxes were wrapped in cellophane and the serial number and other information was on the bottom of the box.

I , too, purchased the black Magic Mouse and received it November 5th, 2024. The box was not wrapped in cellophane, there was no Apple logo on the bottom of the mouse and the serial number and other info was on the side of the box! I called Apple Support and after 30 minutes I was told they should have the logo on the bottom. They said it was probably a factory error (Vietnam) and requested I return it and set me up for a replacement. The replacement hopefully will arrive on Nov 12th, 2024. I will update this post once I receive it.

The new Magic Mouse is so slippery that I feel like I have to hold it properly because otherwise it slips away (“with an optimized foot design that lets it glide smoothly across your desk”). Maybe it's just because it's new. But it bothers me.

I don't like the clicking sound. It's loud and sounds hollow. Very different from the old Magic Mouse.

The widget for the battery status in the notification center has an incorrect icon for the new Magic Mouse. In the middle the new, on the right the old Magic Mouse:

That the logo at the bottom of the Magic Mouse is missing, I don't know what to think of it. Apple could at least state it correctly in the product description.

I'll return it.
