FaceTime on Mac not working since upgrading to Mac sequoia

When calling someone using FaceTime on my Mac, the call will connect, but audio and video will not connect between the other person or myself. All we see of one another are our icons/memojis. I've tried this with multiple individuals and the results are the same.

When I use FaceTime on my iPhone to call the same person, it works, so it's got something to do with my Mac. It has been a problem since upgrading to Mac Sequoia 15.1. I have a M1 Pro MacBook Pro 16" model. I've had no problems with FaceTime on my Mac in every previous operating system since buying my computer in 2021. Anyone else having this issue?
