Opening *.PGN-files with Stockfish, Word and Excel

I have a Macbook Pro 16 with M3-processor and 36 GB RAM. since I upgraded to macOS sequoia 15.0.1 there are problems with RAM-memory. If I let analyze chessgames with the Stockfish-software. The system shows 18 GB RAM in use. Before I could calculate nearly up to 20 chessgames, now i'm happy, to analyze 4 games.

Although the MS-Office programs (especially Word & Excel) have sometimes problems to open files. When i'm in Excel or Word and want to open a file within those programs, i get the big Open-dialog and have to „free“ the file and can't load it. When I go to the Finder and double-click, the file opens without complaining …

What's with the problem with the current macOS Sequoia 15.0.1???

You may want to update to 15.1, in case this is the result of some bugs in the early Sequoia versions.

If it persists: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.

There may well be problems caused by other third party software, especially daemons and agents that may have been running in the background and worked ok in older versions but may be old or incompatible.
