Attaching photos to messages, from photos app not working
Using iPhone ios 18.1, I now can’t attach a photo to Messages from the photo app. Instead, I now have to go to Messages and attach photos. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

For me, when I go to Photos and tap Share, and then a friend's message icon in my list, the Messages app opens and the picture is there waiting for me to type comments. Alternatively, in Share I can choose "Copy Photo" and then go to Messages and Paste.
What happens for you? At what step does this break down?
Have you tried a forced restart?
