After MAC OS Sequoia 15.1 upgrade HP Scanner fails to connect

Error Message: Failed to open a connection to the device (-21345)

Printer / Scanner HP OfficeJet Pro 8710

The Printer works perfectly.

The Scanner fails to connect.

This is new and infuriating as scanning is (sadly) an important part of my life.

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 15.1
