Changing Computer password

I would like to change the password on my MacBook Air M2, 2022 to match all of my other passwords on my Apple items. I am 70 and want to make it easy for my family to use and access my devices if something should happen to me. I do not use the devices out of my house.

I do not have a capital letter, number, or symbol in any of those passwords, but when this Air was set up it was set up with a similar PW with caps and a number.

Can I override this requirement and reset this password?

I do not need reasons why it is not a good idea, but a solution that is not remembering alternate passwords.
