2017 Macbook Air- Green Charging light, but wont power on

Hello. I'm trying to determine if my 2017 Macbook Air needs a new battery. Yesterday, my wife disconnected it from the charger (I typically keep it docked in clamshell mode), and the Macbook powered off. It will not power back on. the indicator on the magsafe charging cable is solid green when it is connected. I have multiple charging cables and have tested them, including the original. The only peripheral device that I ever have connected to it is a keyboard. However, I have removed the dongle.
