Updated installation instructions that are shown during the first-time installation of Little Snitch. On macOS Sequoia the Little Snitch Network Extension now has to be enabled in a different location in

System Settings: The UI for enabling the extension has been moved to 

Login Items & Extensions > Extensions > Network Extensions.

So you requested and received an IT process exception, installed an add-on security app, had trouble with that app, and have now sought support for that app with folks other than the app vendor?

I’d remove Little Snitch, and would revert to the IT-supported configuration.

Otherwise, request support from the Little Snitch app vendor.

Sorry to be blunt, but it looks like Apple users, even in the community, veer to the 'easy' solution as too rightly so....

Was the firewall disabled in order OS's with Little Snitch ? I can't remember as i haven't used it for ages...But if not, then Apple would have finally caught up... and its doing "exactly as its designed to do"

Little Snitch is a more advanced firewall (allowing users to filter both incoming as well as outgoing right down to the individual process. So i can see why Apple users hate it, as if users don't know what they are doing, you can quickly block access on so many levels.

Two firewalls shouldn't be enabled on the same Mac for conflict reasons, so if Apple disabled the built in one when your run LS, then i wouldn't worry about it..

I run LS 5.8 with Sequoia 15.1.1 with no problems. When I updated to Sequoia I didn't have to do or change anything to keep LS working. The Mac firewall is enabled. I know that this doesn't answer your question but it might help if you've got images for LS 5.8 and licence details, but I thought I'd chip in. Good luck. I'll hold off updating LS as long as possible.

Unless it is required, I would uninstall Little Snitch. Alternatively, contact Help for Little Snitch

Little Snitch is a powerful and capable tool, and a tool with few “blade guards”, and with sometimes-inexperienced users that can be all too willing to cause themselves issues and concerns unnecessarily, and users that can then seek help from sources other than from the app vendor.

Too many add-on security apps follow this same pattern. Not because the add-on security app isn't sometimes valuable or useful for its purpose, but because the associated support costs get transferred onto other folks, and over issues too often either benign or self-inflicted.

Hate? No. The app is just noisy, can encourage users into causing self-inflicted problems, and the noise and the noise and the damage simply gets tiring.

Or the shorter version: contact the app vendor.
