Pages not responding
I will try not to keep people too long here but as I am not so IT savvy I need to give details because I don't want to assume it will mean a lot to people. I have had a MacBook Air Retina 2020 since, in fact 2020, ooh the irony, and it has been excellent for all that time, barring occasional glitches. Recently (this week) I have noticed that Pages has been practically useless for a few reasons. I can open it and use it, but it stops responding (rainbow circle thing) whenever I try to save, close or export documents. I have had the same problem to a lesser extent with Numbers and once with Preview. I tried using the app Text Edit as a solution but that also crashed and it doesn't have functions that I really need. This mess has all started since I installed Sequoia (replacing Sonoma). So, here's what I've done to solve the problem, no resolution. *Uninstall and reinstall Pages. *Use Clean My Mac daily. *Make sure I have the latest edition of Sequoia *Open Pages holding down SHIFT key at the same time. *Reset Mac (SHIFT CTRL OPTION POWER KEY - I think those keys, I am on a different notebook right now so I can't just look down to check) * and, finally, shouting at the notebook very loudly (using a selection of vocabulary I will not reproduce here). I am a bit sqeamish about downgrading to Sonoma because I can just about turn my Mac on, never mind replace the operating system - and in any case I have read in this forum that it didn't help a previous user. Any advice would be very welcome.
