Recently my Macbook Air (2017) got waterlogged, after I followed a couple steps (like flipping it, waiting 2 days) it dried completely, However whenever i try to boot it up it would just completely shut down after the Logo appearance and the chime. In addition to this, it only boots if its plugged in.

It's pretty likely that the Mac has been damaged by the water infiltration. At this point I would suggest making an appointment at an Apple Store or authorized Apple service center to have the Mac diagnosed and get a repair estimate.
