Video issue in Chrome or Safari

When using a web browser on my iPhone is it possible to stop videos embedded in an article from reducing their size and remaining on the screen once I scroll past them? They block part of the text and I constantly have to manually close them. It is a big nuisance

Not really, no. That's how the sites are built and there's often no way around it. I agree that it's highly annoying. You can try some ad blockers or StopTheMadness:

which can stop some of these sorts of annoyances, but not all, and blocking these things can lead to the site not working, or not working correctly. But that's the only options I know of.
