Final Cut Pro Validates Audio Units on Every Launch, but passes them

I've had the usual hanging while validating audio units (resolved by moving the offending plugin) but now Final Cut validates all my plugins on every launch. There are 330 of them so it takes a while (a minute or so).

This never used to happen until I installed some Universal Audio native plugins (rather than those that require their hardware, which I also have) so I suspect it's something to do with that.

But since they're all passing the validation process I wonder why FCP is running the process every time?

Your preference file may stuck or corrupted.

Try deleting preferences. To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting the application and click Delete Custom Settings. The application will start with default settings and open an "Untitled" library. Adjust the settings, reopen the library you were working, and see how it works now.

FCP may validate audio units again when it first starts, but I expect that it will then not do it again.
