The sound for incoming calls on my Apple Watch Series 8 is too low

The sound on incoming calls on my Apple Watch Series 8 is nearly non existent. The volume slider is on maximum in settings, sound and haptics. Haptics is on default, changed from prominent, and the do not disturb is off. I know that I must not be doing something correctly so I need all the help I can get!
