Accessing top (disappearing) menu in apps

Apple TV 4th Gen (32gb). tvOS 18.1

I have at least 2 apps, Lightroom and Flickr, that both have disappearing top menus that become impossible to navigate back to once they’ve “disappeared”. I presume the menu disappears intentionally to provide a full screen view, but they only very briefly appear (I mean milliseconds) when swiping down on the remote or exiting out of the app with the menu button. But they seem impossible to navigate making the apps unusable. Closing the app completely restores the menu until it next disappears.

Anyone else experienced similar?
