Default Text Wrap in Pages -- Is there an override??

  1. How do I change the default text-wrap setting for an object to NONE instead of Automatic?

  1. Does Apple EVER look at these discussions? I've never seen a change for the better. This question has been on here since 2018 or before.

THANK YOU!

On a Mac, select the Text box(es) and then on the Arrange panel, set Text Wrap to None from Automatic. This allows you to position the Text box(es) any where you want, even overlaying one another, if that is a goal.

These are entirely user-supported public communities. Only the Apple hosts review the posts for adherence to community guidelines, otherwise, no Apple employees participate in these communities. The Pages, Numbers, and Keynote applications have a Feedback menu item that goes directly to the respective product team. There is no assurance that the product team will contact the sender owing to the feedback volume.

THANK YOU!

Users have been requesting non-contiguous text selection in Pages since 2013. It was not until the release of Pages v14 in April 2024 that the preceding sentence functionality was implemented. Eleven years. Imagine how much feedback that generated over that timeframe.
