Unable to sign out of iCloud account on Macbook Air 2017

I want to factory reset my MacBook Air 2017, and I have tried everything, but I still can’t seem to figure it out. My MacBook won’t let me sign out of my iCloud account. I know I’m signed in, but the sign out button is dimmed. I have tried everything to factory reset it but it just isn’t working.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.5
